Workshops

Portal’s virtual workshops are designed to be low-cost cover ways to manage emotional health during the pregnant and postpartum periods. They are a great first step for parents wanting to learn more about managing mood and anxiety, adjustment, and other topics related to pregnancy and post-partum. Attendees will learn more about virtual programming and health navigation, as well as have the opportunity to ask the facilitators questions. All facilitators are licensed perinatal mental health providers.

Virtual Programming

The Mothers + Babies Course is an evidence-based program designed to address mood and anxiety during pregnancy and after baby is born. It is available free online and in text message formats, and in person via some hospitals and medical centers.

Health Navigation

Many expecting and new parents benefit from individual therapy and groups, but struggle to find resources that fit their availability, location and insurance/payment options. There continues to be a lack of affordable and accessible perinatal support resources in the Bay Area. Health navigators work to help connect parents with individual therapy, group therapy, support groups, psychiatry, baby care support, physical therapy, acupuncture and other perinatal specific resources in their communities. Health navigation is currently available to workshop attendees, and will be expanded in the future to be offered free for all.

Other resources

Area providers also have an opportunity to donate time, resources and lead workshops via Portal. All additional resources can be found on the Calendar.
